Jason has over 25 years experience in the financial services industry and has worked for large insurance companies and local IFA’s, gaining a wide range of knowledge and experience he set up Hillswood Independent Ltd in 2016 and the business has gone from strength to strength. Initially qualifying as a financial adviser in 1996 he then went on to complete advanced financial planning qualifications enabling him to advise on complex defined benefits pension transfers. Jason has always had a strong passion for working with clients in a face to face capacity and prides himself on building long lasting relationships built on complete transparency and trust. Jason is married to Helen who advises on Mortgages and Equity Release within the business and they have 2 son’s Archie and Jake aged 17 and 13. Jason is a keen fisherman and also helps to coach his two sons local football teams.

Helen originally started work in the financial services Industry over 25 years ago working for a local Stockbrokers then moving on to become a Mortgage Adviser with a major high street bank. Helen completed her financial planning qualifications and CMAP mortgage qualifications in 1999 and has extended her knowledge in recent years by completing her Equity Release qualifications in 2021.

Helen’s passion is to assist clients with providing clear transparent advice as to how to navigate through the complexities of sourcing and implementing the best mortgage possible to give her clients a clear understanding of the processes and costs involved whilst building strong and trusting relationships along the way. Helen is married to Jason who is the founder and Wealth Management  and Pensions specialist within the business. Away from the family when time allows she enjoys going to the gym and taking her Labradoodle Reggie for long walks around the local area.
